Frankly speaking... November is the time of year to get everything in order and tie up all of our loose ends before the year wraps up with company parties and family functions. Frankie's can help you perfect your baking skills this month with its upcoming cooking class (Fruitcake and Gingerbread houses), offer to host your next company or family party either at our place or yours and make your mouth water with our not only real food ingredients, but local and made-from-scratch ingredients at both our bakery and our restaurant. Fresh, wholesome and all natural. All made by our family for your family.
Upcoming Cooking Classes!
On Thursday November 15th from 6:30-8:30pm we'll be hosting a baking class at our bakery: Fruitcake and Gingerbread houses. You'll learn the basics of making a great fruitcake, find out how to adapt your recipe to suit your desires and even discover a bit of history about fruitcake. Next we'll work on making the perfect gingerbread house. Mixing, cutting, shaping, gluing, and decorating will all be covered in the creation of the perfect gingerbread house.
Have no time to do the family cookie baking for December? Perhaps our Christmas cookie class in December is up your alley. We'll be making Molasses, shortbread, spritzer and candy cane cookies and rum balls (to name a few). Tasting and involvement will be a must at this class. We'll make all of these cookies, and send everyone home with an assortment of treats and recipes.
To sign up for either of these classes simply press reply on this email or call us at: 905-852-1011. Cost per person, per class is: $50.00

New at the bakery are our oat-free date squares made with quinoa flakes, Molly's triple chocolate chip cookies and our Dutch spice cookies. Don't forget to pre-order for fruitcake starting Saturday November 24th at the bakery.
At the restaurant we have a new dessert. Warm, ooey, gooey apple cinnamon cake drizzled with a toffee sauce. It's been very popular so far and no one has noticed that it is free from: gluten, wheat, nuts, corn, yeast, eggs and dairy. In-fact it's totally vegan too! I bet you won't be able to tell.
Check our the walls at the restaurant!
Artist Barry Clow is showing his artwork during the month of November at the restaurant. Click here to view some of his pieces and perhaps be inspired. Many more of his pieces are available for viewing at the restaurant.
